Board of Directors

Say hello to the Executive Board of the Theta Upsilon Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. These eight awesome women are more than proud to serve in a leadership capacity for the Inglewood Alumnae Chapter for the 2022-2024 term.

Christal Young
1st Anti-Basileus / 1st Vice President

Soror Young joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. at the University of Southern California (USC) via the Theta Epsilon Chapter in the Spring of 2002.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies & Ethnicity (ASE) from USC in 2004 and her Masters of Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas in 2013.  

​

Soror Young is a Reference and Instruction Librarian for the ASE and History Departments at USC, where she is also an associate professor in the Masters of Management in Library and Information Science through the Marshall School of Business. She loves singing in her church choir and veganizing her favorite foods. 

​

As the 1st Anti-Basileus of the Inglewood Alumnae Chapter, Soror Young is dedicated to supporting “the whole soror” through professional and personal training and development.  She is committed to retaining current members while also reclaiming inactive sorors. She is also excited to aid new membership growth across the Network during her term.

Brandy Fort
Anti-Grammateus / Secretary

Soror Brandy Fort was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. via the Epsilon Phi Chapter at California State University, Northridge. In addition, Soror Fort graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. 

 

Soror Fort currently works as a Project Manager and operates her own business as a Piano Teacher. As Anti-Grammateus, Soror Fort is focused on maintaining accurate business records of all chapter meetings.

Cynthia Westbrooks
Basileus / President

Soror Westbrooks joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., in the Spring of 1997 via Mu Alpha Chapter at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). In 1998, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology at UCLA and then pursued and obtained her Master's in Social Work from California State University Los Angeles (CSULA) in 2000. Soror Westbrooks is also a charter member of TUS and has remained dedicated to Sigma as she is a Ruby and Life Member.

 

Soror Westbrooks has been employed with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services for over 23 years. She is currently a Children's Services Administrator/ Program Manager and is very committed to improving outcomes for children and families in the child welfare system. Soror Westbrooks enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She is a devoted wife and mother of 2 amazing children.

Adrianne Fluellen (Chivers)
2nd Anti-Basileus / 2nd Vice President

Soror Adrianne Fluellen (Chivers), was born into Sigma as a charter member of the Rho Eta Chapter at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) on December 8, 2006. She served as chapter Basileus until her graduation, and then as the advisor to the Rho Eta undergraduate chapter for 7 years thereafter. Soror Chivers has served on the Regional level as Syntaktes Assistant, Conference Vendor Coordinator, Conference Hostess in 2014, and most recently, WR Lead Area Coordinator. She served on the Centennial Planning Committee and has returned to serve on the Boule 2024 Committee as Public Meeting Chair. She is a proud LA native, currently residing in the City of Inglewood.

 

Currently, she serves as our 2nd Anti-Basileus - returning home to Rho Eta as Advisor..

Kendra Jones 
Tamiochus / Treasurer

Soror Kendra Jones has been a Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. member since the Spring of 2013. Soror Jones attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Currently, Soror Jones serves as the chapter Tamiochus (treasurer). As the Tamiochus, Soror Jones works with the Grammateus to ensure that chapter monies are accurate, accounted for, and balanced. 

 

Soror Jones is excited to serve as the Tamiochus for the Inglewood Alumnae chapter, support her Sorors, and continue to foster great relationships throughout the community of Inglewood.

Kim Sanders

Grammateus / Financial Secretary

Soror Sanders became a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in the Spring of 2006 via the MAgnificent Mu Alpha Chapter at the University of California at Los Angeles. She graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology and two Minors in Political Science and Music History. She continued her education in the Culinary Arts at Le Cordon Bleu College in Los Angeles and currently works as a Pastry Cook at the JW Marriott Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences at LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles.

 

Soror Sanders is the current Grammateus of the Inglewood Alumnae chapter, and her goal is to keep the chapter in good financial standing and obtain a surplus to be able to service the Inglewood community at a larger financial scale.

Tiffany H. Robertson
Epistoleus / Historian

Soror Tiffany H. Robertson became a Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., member via the Ultimate Theta Upsilon Sigma in the Spring of 2020. Soror Robertson graduated from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) with a Bachelor in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Law and California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) with a Masters in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. 

​

For the past 16 years, Soror Robertson has worked for the City of Long Beach. Soror Robertson is married to her college sweetheart, has two beautiful children, and enjoys cooking, crafting, hosting events for family, sorors, & friends, wine tasting, and traveling. 

​

As the Epistoleus for the Inglewood Alumnae Chapter, Soror Robertsons' goal is to continue the rich tradition and standard of representing the organization and chapter to the highest level.

Jasmine N. Smith
Parliamentarian

Soror Jasmine N Smith joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority in the Fall of 2006, becoming one of seven charter members of the Rho Eta chapter at Loyola Marymount University. As a life member, Jasmine serves her Grad chapter in the City of Champions. Professionally, she holds a Masters in Nursing with an emphasis in public health and currently focuses on the stroke population throughout LA county.

 

Family life keeps her busy with a husband and two kids, but she is always willing to lend a hand a shoulder to lean on, or a listening ear for her sisters.
