Say hello to the Executive Board of the Theta Upsilon Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated. These eight awesome women are more than proud to serve in a leadership capacity for the Inglewood Alumnae Chapter for the 2018-2020 term.
1st Anti-Basileus / 1st Vice President
Soror Arrington was inducted into Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated in 2009 via Mu Alpha Chapter at the University of California, Los Angeles. She graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Sociology with an allied field of Psychology. Soror Arrington is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Management and Leadership from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University. She is currently the Director of Operations for a fundraising management company that works with non-profits to help reach their fundraising goals. She is the mother of an extremely intelligent seven-year-old named Josiah, who is the light of her world.
As the 1st Anti-Basileus of the Inglewood Alumnae Chapter, Soror Arrington is dedicated to retaining current members while also focusing on reclaiming inactive sorors. She is also excited to increase new member growth during her term through mentorship, personal, and professional development of the chapter members.
Britni Danielle Jackson
Anti-Grammateus / Secretary
Soror Britni Danielle Jackson was inducted into the sisterhood of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. through Theta Epsilon Chapter at the University of Southern California in the spring of 2001. She is committed to uplifting women and telling the story of SIGMA and her service to communities of color around the world.
Soror Jackson is journalist, editor, and novelist who is passionate about telling dope stories. She’s written extensively for both print and digital publications like Essence, The Washington Post, espnW, The Guardian, and Glamour.
As the Anti-Grammateus of Inglewood Alumnae Chapter, Soror Jackson is responsible for preparing and maintaining the record of the chapter’s meetings, as well as managing its correspondence.
Tamiochus / Treasurer
Gabrielle Trimble graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2009, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and is currently working as an Emergency Response Children’s Social Worker with the Department of Children and Family Services in the greater Los Angeles Area. In 2018, Soror Trimble co-founded a non-profit organization, launching a woman’s health initiative; providing resources and aid to various women and children in need.
Soror Trimble became a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc, in Spring of 2017 via Theta Upsilon Sigma, and has been in love with the sisterhood and service ever since; serving as the Hospitality Chair and current Tamiochus.
Soror Brianna Goodman joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. at the campus of the University of Southern California, where she graduated from the Viterbi School of Engineering. Soror Goodman joined the Theta Upsilon Sigma Chapter in 2016, and quickly got to work with the Constitution & Bylaws committee. She facilitated a parliamentary training for our network of Alumnae Sorors, Undergraduate Sorors, Rhoers and Philos, which led to award-winning performances in the Southern California Area and Western Region conferences. Soror Goodman now serves as chapter Parliamentarian and aims to continue expanding our knowledge and use of parliamentary procedure.
Andrea R. Magee
Basileus / President
Soror Magee was inducted into the sisterhood of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated through Theta Epsilon Chapter at the University of Southern California, and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 2002. She is currently the Western Region Representative of the National Sister Coaching Initiative as well as the National R3 Reclamation Task Force. She is the Immediate Past Western Region Scholarship Chair and has also held the office of Western Region Nominations Chair. On the local level, she last served as the 1st VP/Chapter Membership Chair for 3 consecutive terms. Soror Magee has been an entrepreneur for 13 years, serving as a Business & Image Coach to women entrepreneurs, as well as being a partner in a Branding and Creative Services Agency.
As the Basileus of the Inglewood Alumnae Chapter, Soror Magee is excited and dedicated to a solid and sustainable contribution of service to Inglewood, and its residents, as the Centennial year approaches. She plans to accomplish this through an investment and focus on Sigma's most prized possession, its membership. Whether through sisterly bonding opportunities, effective partnerships, leadership development, or personal and professional growth, the focus is for TUS to be a place to sow into and also a place to reap.
2nd Anti-Basileus / 2nd Vice President
Soror Brown joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc in the Spring of 2011 at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) by way of the Rho Eta Chapter. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from LMU in English,Writing and Theater in 2012. She received her Masters in Urban Education with an emphasis in Literacy shortly after in 2014. She is currently the 2nd Anti Basileus (2nd Anti Basileus) of the Theta Upsilon Sigma, Inglewood Alumnae Chapter. As an undergraduate she served as Basileus (President) for one year. Soror Brown currently teaches middle school English Language Arts and Drama in Los Angeles. This is her seventh year teaching. She is working on becoming a Reading Specialist.
Grammateus / Financial Secretary
Soror Sanders became a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. in the Spring of 2006 via the MAgnificent Mu Alpha Chapter at the University of California at Los Angeles. She graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors of Science degree in Sociology and two Minors in Political Science and Music History. She continued her education in the Culinary Arts at Le Cordon Bleu College in Los Angeles and currently works as a Pastry Cook at the JW Marriott Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences at LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles.
Soror Sanders is the current Grammateus of the Inglewood Alumnae chapter and her goal is to keep the chapter in good financial standing and obtaining a surplus to be able to service the Inglewood community at a larger financial scale.
Epistoleus / Historian
Soror Prepetit became a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated in 1999 via Theta Epsilon Chapter at the University of Southern California. She graduated from USC with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science in 2001, and earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems from Cal State LA in 2005. She is the wife to a very supportive husband and mother to 5 year old daughter named Paris, both of whom she loves very much. Soror Prepetit currently works as a Customer Success Manager in the Retail Software Industry.
Soror Prepetit has held the position of Anti-Grammateus and most recently, Basileus. She is currently serving as the chapter Epistoleus, Scholarship Chair, and Western Region Elections Chair.
